When Life Shifts: The Story Behind TwoMorrows Apothecary

And there's no better way to begin than with the story that started it all: ours.

I never imagined that after 18 years with the same company - pouring my heart into leadership, training, and development - I'd be let go in an instant. But in October 2024, that's exactly what happened. One day I had a career I had built for nearly two decades, and the next, it was gone. 

It's hard to put into words what that kind of loss feels like. I went through it all - anger, sadness, confusion. Honestly, I think I was a little depressed for a while. It wasn't just a job. It was a huge part of my identity, and losing it rocked to my core. 

But here's where the story shifts. 

Two years before that moment, my husband Rob and I had started dreaming. We were navigating our daughter's eczema and while I was already using some tallow-based products, Rob had the idea to start making it at home for us. What started out of necessity slowly turned into something more. We joked about turning it into a business someday, but it always felt like a "maybe one day" kind of thing. 

Then everything changed. 

Losing my job pushed us to take that dream seriously. If I was going to give my energy and passion to something, I wanted it to be something we were building - something rooted in our values, something that could truly help others. 

That's how TwoMorrows Apothecary was born.

But for us, this is about more than skincare. Our wellness journey started long before the business. Even before we were together, Rob and I had both begun making small changes - being more intentional about what we ate, ditching plastic, switching to clean products, learning what our bodies actually needed to feel good. 

Since we have been together, we've continued that journey. And if there's one thing we've learned, it's that wellness doesn't have to be overwhelming. It's not about being perfect. It's about making small, manageable choices that add up over time. That's the heart of what we want to share with you. 

We're not doctors. We're not scientists. We're just two people who care deeply about what goes on and, in our bodies, - and we're building something that reflects that. 

At the center of everything is our family. We're doing this to create a legacy for our kids, something they can be proud of. And we're doing this to serve your family too. We want to offer products you can trust - made with intention, honestly, and care. And we want to create a space where wellness feels simple, real, and attainable.
